Entrance to all BSA Courses (excluding the 10 WEEK FOUNDATION IN ACTING) is strictly by audition. Minimum age of entry to all courses is 18 yrs. There is no upper age limit.
AUDITION FORMAT
The audition process will consist of:
- SHORT INTERVIEW
- PERFORMANCE OF TWO MONOLOGUES (details below)
- SIGHT-READING
AUDITION CRITERIA
For the ONE-YEAR ACTOR TRAINING PROGRAMME, all candidates must learn and prepare:
- A Contemporary Monologue from either a published play or screenplay written post-1980
- A Monologue written no later than the 19th Century
FOR ALL OTHER COURSES, candidates must learn and prepare two contrasting Monologues from published plays or screenplays written post-1980.
No audition is required for the 10 WEEK FOUNDATION IN ACTING.
